Resume Reference

Labels:quick tips ,

A resume reference is some one who can verify your credentials and all or part of the info you have written in your resume. Professional recruiters may need some crosscheck with your previous employers, friends or co-workers.
While adults do not usually include references on their resume, teen resumes benefit from such inclusions. Ask permission before using someone as a reference, as they may get a few calls!

Resume references can be:
* Former teachers or professors
* Former project managers or supervisors
* Clients
* Other contacts from industry associations

Some employers now a days even give the 'No Comment' when being asked about an employee. Still others spill their guts on your negative aspects. So be sure to check any references you list in your resume or give to a potential employer after the first interview.
