Functional resume

Labels:quick tips ,

The functional resume rearranges employment history into sections that highlight areas of skill and accomplishment.
When you use a functional resume you can present your skills, abilities, and accomplishments in a way that DOC your qualifications for entering a new field. You are able to put the spotlight exclusively on experience RELEVANT to your chosen new career, playing down (w-a-a-y down) the experience that pictures you in your old/current role.
You can find many functional resume samples from the online career center of your university and your professional association. you MUST make it easy for employers to visualize your overall chronological work history and link your accomplishment statements to it. NEVER omit at least a bare-bones chronological listing of your work experience, in your functional resume.
Remember! If your work history is minimal, has gaps, or you're changing fields then the functional format will focus attention on your skills and any relevant experience its including your educational experiences. Your employment history is avoided completely or very briefly summarized at the beginning of the resume.
